Jake Lauer, DVM

After graduating from UW-Madison School of Veterinary Medicine in 2018 Dr. Jacob Lauer spent a year in small animal/exotic pets private practice in La Crosse, WI. However, he and his wife yearned to be back in the hometown area they love, and close to family.

Dr. Jake grew up in West De Pere and completed a Bachelor’s degree in Biology from UW-Stevens Point in 2014. Involvement on the family farms, horse ranch, FFA experiences, and having pets helped foster a love of animals at an early age. After spending time shadowing veterinary practices in High School he set a veterinary career path in the hopes of advancing the health of beloved pets. Dr. Jake believes that relationships between clients, pets, and veterinary professionals are vital in both animal and human health. Teamwork and communication are key aspects of healthcare. His professional interests include, but are not limited to, diagnostic imaging, surgery, and preventative medicine.

In his free-time Dr. Jake enjoys spending time with family, playing Ultimate Frisbee, disc golf, golf, Canoeing and Kayaking, Hiking, Fishing, Reading, AV entertainment, Cooking, and crafting/carving.
