The majority of our patients are canine and feline, but we do accept small mammals such as rabbits, guinea pigs, gerbils and hamsters. We do not accept fish, reptiles, birds, or farm animals.

Yes! We use Pet Desk. You can download it from any App store. Add Riverside Animal Hospital as your pets provider and you will have their current vaccine information, medications and much more at your finger tips.

Yes, typically our on-site laboratory, we use for sick and injured pets when we need to know test results right away. If we are performing annual lab tests we may send them out to our lab. .

Yes, Digital x-rays allow us to better diagnose and treat sick and injured pets by providing us with high quality imaging results and reducing overall radiation exposure. They can capture digital images of both the body and teeth.

Yes, we use laser during surgery to vaporize soft tissue while simultaneously cauterizing it. This reduces the time it takes to perform the procedure and efficiently kills any bacteria in its path. Procedures commonly performed with laser surgery include: Spays , Neuters, Biopsies , C-sections and Mass removals (including cysts, polyps, and tumors).

Yes, however we do require at least a 3 month notice. Every country has their own set of very specific requirements. There are often tests and medications that must be performed months in advance of the date of travel. We schedule two separate appointments. The first appointment will be scheduled right away and will be a PLANNING appointment to ensure that all requirements will be met. The second appointment will be for completing documentation.

Yes, We offer pet microchipping for dogs and cats. A microchipped pet is a safe pet – and one that’s much more likely to return home if ever lost.

Yes an appointment is needed and please note that proof of rabies vaccine is required for all services.

Heartworm preventatives are not 100% effective. Sometimes a dose gets missed, spit out, vomited or is just not adequately absorbed, resulting in inadequate protection. Heartworm testing is a safeguard against your pet suffering from heartworm disease without your knowledge.

Typically your adult pet is checked for intestinal parasites once a year, during the annual exam. If your pet is sick with vomiting and diarrhea we will also ask that you bring in a sample at the time of your office visit. If you have a puppy, we recommend a fecal at their first visit to ensure your puppy is parasite free.
