Andrea Moede, DVM VetLife Mentor

I am a De Pere High School Graduate (2002), so it’s an incredible honor and privilege to serve in the community that I grew up in and love. I currently live with my husband and two children in West De Pere, and we have two calico cats and a pomeranian mix.

I obtained my bachelor's degree from the University of Wisconsin–La Crosse in 2006 and my doctorate in veterinary medicine from Western University of Health Sciences in Pomona, California in 2010.

Immediately after graduation, I accepted a job at Riverside Animal Hospital and have been here ever since. I feel blessed to have had the opportunity to be mentored by the clinic’s founder, Dr. Steve DeGrave, and have always worked hard to treat clients with the same kindness and respect that he has shown to all of his clientele through the years. In 2021, Dr. DeGrave invited me to take on some additional leadership/managerial duties, and I was named full Chief of Staff in 2026. I’m so honored to lead such an amazing group of veterinary professionals, and truly feel that we have one of the best teams around.

I love that in this career, I get to do something a little different every single day. I see appointments and perform surgeries and dentistry. I’m passionate about helping owners understand their pet’s conditions and making sure that they are comfortable with the decisions they’re making for their pets. It’s been such an honor through the years to have had the opportunity to get to know my clients and watch their pets grow through the years.

I also absolutely love teaching! I have completed the VetLife Mentorship Certification Program, and now serve as a mentor for our newest veterinarians. We have hosted MANY job shadowers, high school students in apprenticeship programs, externs from local veterinary technology programs, and vet students all looking to gain practical experience.

Fun Fact: Dr. Moede's cat "Bunny" moved back with her from California!
